Ladies' Night- Global Changemakers Edition
Women’s Day Global Changemakers was a night that opened my eyes in many ways whether phenomenal work due by and inspired by women or how to move forward after adversity/struggles and more. Each of the women’s stories and their joint conversation together forwarded my knowledge of the world and got great advice.
Overall, I learned the value of hardwork, not giving up, and the power of iterations. I listened as the ever-evolving (no pun/reference intended) meaning of innovation was discussed and the power of continual work whether starting small or working capacity. Also, I learned about and agree with the idea that limitations should be recognized, but not hold oneself back from.
I found their stories interesting and inspiring whether it’s the story of Priyamvada and the coding and mapping of the sky based off of newspaper clips or Diana’s knowledge and usage of personal narratives in educating and running organizations.
I was enjoying the book recommendations and constant feeling of support between the women. I learned the differences of mentor and sponsor; mentors are for talking to and sponsoring for talking for you/oneself.
Overall, great event and glad I went!
